Dharma Productions and Phantom Films have combinedly produced and released this movie that has got several shades in it. This rom-com movie is studded with a heavy star cast pioneered with the likes of Parineeti Chopra. Bollywood celebrity producer and director Karan Johar has produced this movie. Though the movie is based on a tried and tested formula of two people about to tie the knot and a surprising twist introduced at the same time. Eventually, it managed to earn 36.52 crores after a satisfactory performance amidst huge publicity and fanfare.
9. Bhoothnath Returns
Umpteen movies have released before with Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role belonging to the scary genre. The most notable one in the recent times is Bhoothnath, which failed to capture the imagination of audience. However, the sequel to the long forgotten movie has now come up as Bhoothnath Returns. Surprising results have been achieved with the movie faring exceptionally well at the box office. This film was directed by Divya Khosla Kumar was released in January amidst high expectations. The lead cast includes Himansh Kohli and Rakul Preet Singh with the movie being aimed at the youth.
